Screen Printing

This method is fast, cost-effective, and produces high-quality prints. The disadvantage is that each color requires a separate screen, so it's not nearly as fast when printing a multi-color T-shirt. Screen printing is also quite messy and it takes a lot of time to clean printing screens at the end of the day.

Hot Press

The hot press method was ubiquitous in the 1970s when most kids running around in T-shirts with patch hot press. These methods are now relying on the computer to print a single patch instead of a special paper with transparent ink which can then be transferred to a T-shirt using heat. 

The advantage of this T-shirt printing method is that it is better with some color and that it can be used to produce a more complex design. The disadvantage is that it is more expensive than screen printing, the patch can be heavy, and that the color will fade and crack over time.
